- Cut back on administrative work: You may expedite the hiring process and free up a tonne of time for more crucial activities by using an ATS programme. Put an end to manually posting each job on a job board and sending each follow-up email. You can complete all of these tasks with a few clicks using an ATS.
- Improved CV Screening: For recruiters, screening CVs is an extremely tedious task. Using algorithms, an ATS automates the initial comparison of each application to the job specifications. Those that don't fulfil the minimum standards are rejected, and the remaining candidates are rated based on qualifying indications. By doing this, recruiters can avoid wasting time on unsuitable candidates and becoming too worn out to recognise good profiles.
- Shorten the hiring process: Having all candidate data compiled and organised on a single platform allows recruiters to get a quick overview of the hiring process. Automatic communication features shorten the recruitment cycle, making it easier to follow up with candidates and advance them to the next stage. An applicant tracking system, in general, enables recruiters to create and implement a more effective workflow.

Time spent on hiring is time well spent!!
As a hiring managers, knowing what to look for in a resume becomes essential when you post a job for a high volume position and receive over 200 resumes for screening.
The hiring manager must adopt the attitude that they must look beyond the resume in order to construct a high performing team. The hiring manager must scan the resume and determine whether the individual has the necessary experience or not. The recruiter must craft questions to get more information about the past positions since the resume just includes a synopsis of the previous position. Here are a few crucial details that should not be overlooked during the screening process.
- Relevant Experience: Particularly for tech positions, it is crucial to verify the amount of experience and area of expertise that are pertinent. The candidate's prior duties must be understood by the recruiter. Additionally, the hiring manager must review their social media pages to verify the information listed on the resume.
- Integrity and work ethics: Because training in this area is quite difficult, candidates must have strong work ethics and integrity. Technical skills can be taught; ethics cannot. While unethical candidates may harm the organisation, ethical candidates will assist it. Work ethics can be assessed by putting candidates in the different situations.
- Willingness to learn: The candidates' learning capacities might be linked to any extra courses or certification programmes. The interviewer must probe about new skills picked up from prior employment.

Top resume errors to Avoid
Resume mistakes, at best, give a bad first impression; at worst, they’ll cost you the job.
- Pass the 6-second exam: Recruiters spend only 6 seconds on average evaluating each resume. Make an instant positive impact.
- Don't include all work details: Don’t include the jobs that you had for a short period.
- Keyword use: Including too many industry-related keywords in your resume may impair its credibility.
- Bolding inaccurate information: Bold your position with the company rather than just the corporation you worked for. This is what the hiring manager or recruiter is searching for.
- Inclusive of personal interests: It's advisable to keep out your hobbies unless they're related to the job.
- Include a photograph: With the extensive usage of social networking sites, adding photographs to resumes is no longer necessary.
- Emphasis on Relevant Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are no longer desirable skills. Instead, leverage that area to emphasize your industry's experience with more diverse technological tools.

Resume tips when applying for a Web3 job
While simple and minimalistic resumes are usually advised for typical software developer jobs, when we talk about Web3, we talk about newness, freshness, and creativity. Your resume should reflect these qualities. Show that you're an original person who likes to think outside the box. Also, the following sections shouldn't be missing from your Web3 resume:
- Profile- Often left out but an essential part of the resume. This is your chance to make the best first impression and the chance to tell your future employer who you are.
- Work experience- Conventionally, this section comes first after the profile. Always include a brief description of your past responsibilities. Focus on what you've achieved. Use active language and specific numbers.
- Education-While a good education will add value to your resume, it's not the most important section on your CV. If you're aiming for a Web3 position, place the education towards the end of your resume. Work experience, portfolio, and skills should come first.
- Skills- The most crucial part of your Web3 resume. List relevant skills — for instance, if you're a developer, this will be the coding languages you're familiar with. And, of course, blockchain skills.
- Certificates and courses- Show that you've attended certification courses and learned about Web3.
- Portfolio link- The portfolio is a vital part of your job application if you're a developer.
