Attention Is Cheap. Trust Isn't.

"We just crossed 50k followers." 🎉

A founder posted this last week, right under a video of himself talking for 90 seconds about... himself. His journey, his grind, his "vision." Not one line for the people watching. 📱

I asked him later, "What did that post actually give your audience?"

He paused. "Attention. Mine."

That's the trap. 🎯

Marketing dressed up as connection is still just self promotion wearing a nicer outfit. It feels like building a brand, but it's just broadcasting a highlight reel. 🔁

And here's the thing nobody says out loud. It's not about how many people are watching. It's about who is watching. 👀

Right now people are watching AI generated videos of fruits "cheating" on their partners. That's genuinely what's getting views. So a follower count means nothing anymore. Attention has gotten cheap, weird, and easy to fake. 🍓🤖

The founders people actually remember aren't the loudest ones. They're the ones who show up with something useful and leave the spotlight out of it. A tip that saves someone an hour. A mistake explained so someone else doesn't repeat it. 💡

Followers don't come from being seen. They come from being useful enough that the right people want to see more. 📈

Real marketing isn't "look at me." It's "here, this might help you." 🛠️

The account is still growing, by the way. Just slower now. But every comment is someone saying "this actually helped," not "cool for you." 🙌
